Workshop Summary:
What is Art? Art can be everything and nothing at the same time as long as we
become masters of our own Art.
● Syllabus
Approximate timeline:
15 min. - Welcome and Introductions, summary of how the class will flow
30 min. - building a surface or frame work to paint on
10 min. - Ideas discussion and ideas sketching
10 min. - Break
40 min.- Painting
15 min. - Closing discussion, Q & A
Date/time: Saturday June 13th, 9AM -11AM PST, 2 hours
Level: all levels, teens & adults
Materials needed:
- Sketch pencils
- Oil pastel
- Acrylic paint- red, blue, yellow, white and black
- Brushes - different sizes
- Highlighter, black marker
- 2 cardboards- 20x20 inches or 50x50cm each
- 8.5" x 11" paper (if the student doesn't have a sketchbook)
- White glue
- Ruler
- X-acto knife
- Triangular Ruler
- Computer with video & good wifi connection

ABOUT INSTRUCTOR:
Born in 1987 in São Tomé and Príncipe, Luís Managem has lived in Portugal since he was 8 years old. As a child he knew he wanted to be an artist. In high school he attended the Arts and Crafts course and his Bachelor’s Degree was in Fine Arts and Multimedia.
Luís Managem has participated in several collective exhibitions showing drawings, paintings, installations and sculptures. As an artist he has many different interests. Luís Managem has also participated in several Street Art projects painting murals.
