Is the space accessible?
YES! At Parallax Art Center, we are committed to making our physical space and programs accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We believe that everyone should be able to participate in and enjoy our art exhibitions, events, and educational programs.

The event is FREE from 12:00 - 5:00pm. This includes live music, snacks, face painting, and more! Popup tattoo artist, raffle tickets and vendor items will be available for purchase. Our drag brunch requires tickets which can be purchased through EventBrite for $100 per chair.
How do I get there?
We encourage use of public transportation. The bus line 77 stops right outside of Parallax Art Center. Visit https://trimet.org/home/ to plan your trip. Paid street parking is available on a first come, first served basis.
Will there be vegetarian/gluten free options?
YES! The ticketed drag brunch is catered by The Waffle Window. They will be offering gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options.
Most of the Summer Solstice Festival (12:00pm - 5:00pm) is free and will feature food trucks (taco and ice cream available to purchase!) including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. Snacks catered by K-Bar will be offered and will be completely vegetarian.

Will there be an art show in the gallery during the event?
The Summer Solstice Festival will be held between featured exhibits, leaving space for our wonderful performers, vendors, and activities. Our current exhibition by Making Earth Cool will partially remain for your enjoyment. Be sure to visit for our next exhibit at Parallax Art Center which will be Notes for Tomorrow opening June 24, 2023.
Can I bring my kids?
YES! Parallax Art Center welcomes ALL ages and is a wonderful space for kids. The Summer Solstice Festival will feature live music, face painting, flower crown workshops, and other activities especially for children. The drag brunch (10:00am - 12:00pm) is 21+ while the majority of the event (12:00pm - 5:00pm) welcomes all ages.
Is this a pride event?
Parallax Art Center supports the LGBTQIA2S+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or gender expansive, queer and/or questioning, intersex, asexual, and two-spirit) communities. We actively engage with and feature LGBTQIA2S+ artists in our exhibitions and regularly focus on LGBTQIA2S+ issues and achievements through social media, our monthly newsletter, and in live events and activities. The Summer Solstice Festival is unaffiliated with Portland Pride, but we do tend to get a little rainbow-y here at Parallax Art Center. The Summer Solstice Festival is a great way to kick off Pride season!
Are there bathrooms open for the event?
We offer accessible, gender-neutral, family-friendly bathrooms at Parallax Art Center. There are three single use bathrooms available to the public, one of which is ADA accessible. The doors do not have power openers but are lightweight and all are located on the main (first) floor of the gallery.
This is my first time attending a drag show. What should I expect?
Drag shows are a blast and we are so excited that you will be joining us! We encourage bringing cash to tip our beautiful drag queens and our bartender.
How much are raffle tickets?
$10 a ticket. Our raffle includes some amazing, high-ticket items this year! Buy one, or several to improve your chances of winning a fabulous prize.
How can I donate to the raffle?
How can I donate to Parallax Art Center?
We thrive with community support. Thank you for donating to Parallax Art Center, where we provide high quality and accessible exhibitions, events, workshops, and other programming to our local community. To donate please visit the Parallax Art Center Donation webpage. Or, email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact us by phone (503) 286-4959. Do I need to show my EventBrite ticket at the door?
No, you do not need to show your ticket for entry. We encourage folks to obtain a ticket for the Summer Solstice Festival on Eventbrite to help us plan our snacks, beverages, and activities. However, a ticket is not required and entry is not dependent on having an Eventbrite ticket.
If I cannot make brunch, will I get a refund?
Our drag brunch will feature fabulous local drag queens, delicious catering from The Waffle Window, and endless mimosas! We encourage you to sell your ticket if you can’t make the event. If you have further questions reach out to email@example.com or by phone (503) 286-4959.
What is a popup tattoo event?
Tattoos are first-come-first-serve, small flash only (no custom pieces), prices will be listed and are determined by the artist. Cash and card accepted.
Can I bring my dog?
Not for this event.
We love dogs at Parallax Art Center. Well-behaved, friendly pups are welcome during our regular business hours. Please keep your furry friends leashed during the duration of your visit.
