Can I bring my kids?
YES! Parallax Art Center welcomes ALL ages and is a wonderful space for kids. The Summer Solstice Festival will feature live music, face painting, flower crown workshops, and other activities especially for children. The drag brunch (10:00am - 12:00pm) is 21+ while the majority of the event (12:00pm - 5:00pm) welcomes all ages.
Is this a pride event?
Parallax Art Center supports the LGBTQIA2S+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and/or gender expansive, queer and/or questioning, intersex, asexual, and two-spirit) communities. We actively engage with and feature LGBTQIA2S+ artists in our exhibitions and regularly focus on LGBTQIA2S+ issues and achievements through social media, our monthly newsletter, and in live events and activities. The Summer Solstice Festival is unaffiliated with Portland Pride, but we do tend to get a little rainbow-y here at Parallax Art Center. The Summer Solstice Festival is a great way to kick off Pride season!
Are there bathrooms open for the event?
We offer accessible, gender-neutral, family-friendly bathrooms at Parallax Art Center. There are three single use bathrooms available to the public, one of which is ADA accessible. The doors do not have power openers but are lightweight and all are located on the main (first) floor of the gallery.
This is my first time attending a drag show. What should I expect?
Drag shows are a blast and we are so excited that you will be joining us! We encourage bringing cash to tip our beautiful drag queens and our bartender.
How much are raffle tickets?
$10 a ticket. Our raffle includes some amazing, high-ticket items this year! Buy one, or several to improve your chances of winning a fabulous prize.
How can I donate to the raffle?
Thank you for your interest in supporting our fundraiser! Please email [email protected] or call (503) 286-4959 to donate items or experiences to the raffle.

No, you do not need to show your ticket for entry. We encourage folks to obtain a ticket for the Summer Solstice Festival on Eventbrite to help us plan our snacks, beverages, and activities. However, a ticket is not required and entry is not dependent on having an Eventbrite ticket.
If I cannot make brunch, will I get a refund?
Our drag brunch will feature fabulous local drag queens, delicious catering from The Waffle Window, and endless mimosas! We encourage you to sell your ticket if you can’t make the event. If you have further questions reach out to [email protected] or by phone (503) 286-4959.
